Four very different and twisty stories. Something for everyone.
I’ve always loved a good creepy story and short stories can be some of the best around, with a quick spine tingling read and a swift ending that chills you to the bone.
I really enjoyed these short stories for the most part. They were incredibly immersive from the start and some definitely gave me that creepy feeling. But others were rather more thrilling than horrific, which isn’t a bad thing, however I did want just a bit more horror to fuel my craving.
Each story was individual and gave me completely different feelings, which I liked very much. There was a good mix of emotions and agenda’s in the collection, so something that everyone would find appealing.
The only reason that I didn’t absolutely love these stories, is the endings. Whilst one of the stories was rounded off nicely, I felt like the rest were a bit lacking. Some of the endings just plain confused me and some were just a bit lacklustre. They just didn’t live up to my expectations and fell a bit flat.
Four enjoyable stories, but not 100% for me.
