The Book Community Made Me Buy It

The Book Community Made Me Buy IT (1)

Hey guys!

I saw this awesome post over on my bestie Dora’s blog and I really love the idea. As a book blogger, I’m constantly recommending my favourite books to people and when they buy it because of me it’s a great feeling!

I’ve purchased so many books because of blogger recommendations or because they were super hyped in the community, so I’m excited to share the first post in what will be a recurring series!ย I’ll be sharing five books each time!

1 – The Selection by Kiera Cass

The Selection 1

When I first started blogging and joined my Great Bloggers chat, so many people loved The Selection series and I really liked the sound of it. Needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and proceeded to buy the next two books!

2 – Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

everything everything

I hadn’t heard of this book before I became a blogger and I saw it everywhere, especially when the film was announced. I ended up reading it in one evening and really loved it AND the film was pretty accurate too.

3 – The Wrath and The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

the wrath and the dawn

I’m so glad I found this through Book Twitter! It’s one of my favourite duologies which I read within hours and I picked up the sequel literally the next day! Honestly so good!!

4 – Uprooted by Naomi Novik

I saw a specific blogger (can’t remember who) raving about Uprooted and I just had to buy it. This is one of my all time favourite fantasies and I’ve completely fell in love with Naomi’s writing! It’s utterly enchanting.

5 – Throne Of Glass by S.J Maas

throne of glass

I bought TOG after I’d read and loved ACOTAR and everyone seemed to adore it. Unfortunately I did not and I actually DNF’d it. I just couldn’t get into it and wasn’t keen on the main characters.

NEW Pastel Line Breaker

This was such a fun post to write and I loved looking back at some of my faves! I think I will be posting this series monthly, so look out in December!

Hope you enjoyed! Until next time โฃ

    1. Thank you! That duology is just gorgeous and I agree it does flow. I know some people haven’t gotten on with Uprooted, I just personally love it but everyone is different. If you do give it another go let me know your thoughts ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. I loved Everything, Everything too! I actually got to read it as one of my very first ARCs from NetGalley, so it’s special! LOL! I loved the twist at the end so much and really need to give the movie a chance – I’m super weird about watching movie adaptations! I’m really picky about movies accurately representing the books on which they’re based! LOL! Happy reading, dearie!

  2. I really enjoyed your post – I recognized a lot of these books and have bought certain books because of recommendations and hype as well – I bought ACOTAR but am actually reading the Throne of Glass series currently. I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy it! I can see why, but I ended up enjoying the book a lot more than I thought I would. That’s one of the things I love about reading though, the same book can get such different reactions.
